MLCS Advantage
The MeadowLand Charter School will provide a safe, structured, and consistent environment so students can succeed academically while experiencing a seamless connection to a therapeutic component that will help them modify their inappropriate behaviors. Parents and legal guardians will have the benefit of continuous communication with teachers and school staff, as well as outside supporting agencies, regarding the day-to-day progress of their students. Upon admission, a Personal Education Plan (PEP) will be created for all students, tailored to their specific needs. The Personal Education Plan will include strategies to improve academic performance, a State-required graduation plan, and a behavioral plan. In addition, a behavior modification system will be utilized to motivate, encourage, and reinforce positive and appropriate behaviors. The MeadowLand Charter School will also produce an intimate academic environment, assuring ample one-on-one time for teachers and students with a maximum ratio of one teacher per twelve students.
Our philosophy is that all children can achieve educational success if provided the right options. The MeadowLand Charter School offers not only innovative methods for improving students' academic and behavioral performance, but also provides personal attention in a close-knit learning community from committed and well-qualified teachers and staff.
